This release introduces a new comprehensive tagging feature!
Tagging
The tagging feature provides a structured way to manage and flag data within Valuatic Studio.
This functionality enhances the organization of large datasets, clarifies data states and associations, simplifies data management, and allows you to adapt Valuatic to your workflow.
You can create tags with customizable names and colors to visually distinguish them. Tags can be reordered, influencing the sorting of associated records.
They can be assigned to forms, examiners, and candidates, with the flexibility to apply multiple tags to a single item.
In addition to tagging, Valuatic introduces a grouping functionality. A group is a collection of multiple tags that allows you to organize related content under one filterable category.
For example, content could be tagged with ‘Day 1’, ‘Morning’, and ‘Rotation 1’. You can then create a group that combines these tags. Since content can be filtered simultaneously by both individual tags and groups, it’s easy to display only the forms, examiners, and candidates belonging to that specific group.
Additionally, using this new feature, you can export results that match specific groups or tags (e.g., ‘Day 1’), making it easier to process results for large exams that span multiple days.
Alongside the tagging functionalities of Valuatic Studio, groups play an important role on Valuatic Touch, where a group can be chosen or scanned to limit or preselect the selection of available content.
This enhances workflow efficiency and reduces the time examiners need to switch to new content during an exam.
Valuatic Studio
- A new configuration page has been introduced for managing tags and groups within a project.
- A comprehensive interface now allows you to create, edit, delete, order, export, and import groups and tags.
- Tags can easily be assigned to content records, either individually or in bulk.
- The import and export of forms, examiners, and candidates has been expanded to include tag information.
- Content pages now support filtering across all records simultaneously, improving data management and controlling.
- The device observation shows the currently selected group on a device.
- The result export page includes enhanced filtering options, allowing exports based on selected tags or groups.
- The settings pages are now divided into app settings and project-specific configurations.
- Result export settings have been moved from the export page to a new configuration page and are stored in the project.
- Navigation buttons within pages have been replaced with tab-based navigation for a better experience.
- Numerous optimizations on layout, dialogs and informational messages have been implemented.
- Examiners and candidates can now be exported.
- When importing examiners and candidates, entries with the same ID will now be updated instead of imported as a duplicate.
- Features not permitted by the license (such as online distribution and tagging) are now visually marked more clearly.
- Visual glitches occurred on older Windows 10 systems, affecting the interface display.
- Form document PDFs failed to display correctly on older Windows 10 systems.
- Candidate report PDFs were missing lines when created with reduced content.
- The form editing side panel did not refresh properly under certain circumstances, displaying outdated content.
- Device password configurations were inaccessible when the exam was locked.
Valuatic Touch
- The layout of the exam home screen has been rearranged to support the new group functionalities.
- Content selection entries can now be reduced when tagging is enabled, and groups are available.
- Forms, Examiner and candidates are automatically selected if a group filter results in a single item only.
- Help information has been added to assist with connecting and adding devices to exams.
- Examiner and candidate lists are no longer alphabetically grouped, following client requests.
- Labels and the style of names have been updated for better recognition of last and first names for examiners and candidates.
- Selection permission options have been simplified to only prevent manual selection of examiners, candidates and forms. QR code scanning is now always permitted.
Note:
Valuatic 3.0 can handle all projects and files created with a previous version. However, files created with Valuatic 3.0 cannot be used with version 2.1 and below.
